What is triglyceride form omega-3 and why is it better?
Fish naturally stores omega-3 in triglyceride (TG) form. Most manufacturers convert it to ethyl ester (EE) form because it’s cheaper to concentrate. EE requires extra enzymatic conversion in your gut studies show this cuts absorption by up to 4×. We use re-esterified TG form.
No. The peppermint oil in the formulation eliminates the burp-back that most fish oil capsules cause. Take with food for best results and zero aftertaste.
Medical store fish oil is almost always ethyl ester form with low EPA/DHA concentrations – often 180mg EPA + 120mg DHA per capsule. Ours delivers 720mg EPA + 480mg DHA in triglyceride form per serving. Different product category entirely.
